Bleriot Cup 2009

Bleriot Cup 2009

There has been a suggested change for this year to hold a Varied level competition for both the HG and PG boys. This is being supported by the Comps Panel and would be an excellent proving ground for aspiring British Team Pilots.
Please hurry as the intention is to pick team places ASAP to enable earlier dates. This would aim to be decided by the end of the next British Open Series round… that's Yorkshire 22nd to 26th May.

The Bleriot Cup is a long standing Flying Competition between the French and British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Teams. Teams generally consist of twelve pilots, six each of hang glider and paragliders.
It is based in both France and Britain on an alternating rota. This, now its thirtieth year, the competition will be held in the Manosque area of southern France. It has always been a fiercly fought yet light hearted and friendly competition. We shall be looking to defend the title for our fifth successive year as champions

Who should apply?

Those pilots looking to make the British team at some point who would like the opportunity to prove their worth should apply. There will be a degree of tactical or team flying during this competition and so will be a great opportunity to hone and develop your skills in many areas with mentoring from top pilots likely.

How do i apply

If you have flown in the British Open Series (BOS) or British Nationals competitions and would be interested in Flying in the Bleriot Cup this year please let me know asap by replying to me separately at moc.liamtoh|2sdleihs_evad#sdliehS evaD and, if you are new to the comps scene, include a line or two stating what previous flying experience you have.
