Darren Brown, Local Organiser for SE Wales reports….
This year's SE Wales BOS will take place between Saturday 3rd May and Wednesday 7th May with the "base" at Park Farm Llangattock. More detail can be found HERE
The first briefing shall be held at 9.00 am on the Saturday at Park Farm.
Registration will take place at the Vine Pub friday evening from 7pm, and at the camp site from 8.00am on Saturday
Phil reports that his life is made a lot easier when Pilots fill in the Registration Form prior to the event.
For those able to do so, please download the waypoints from here and squirt into your GPS's. (Including retrieve drivers)
The meal has been booked for Sunday 4th May so that people who can’t attend the whole competition can still come to the meal.
The Old Rectory has proven an excellent venue for the meal over the past two years and has therefore been booked once again. I am intending to order the carvery option again, as this proved so popular last year.
The last time we ate at this venue, we were with our good friend and stalwart, Pete Coad, who has now very sadly passed away. In order to pay tribute and celebrate this hang gliding giant, it is requested that everyone attending should wear a hawaiian shirt. This was Pete’s signature ‘look’ and would no doubt bring a smile to his face to see us all copying his questionable fashion sense.
There will also be a few UKNXCL, and other trophy presentations, as well as a raffle organised by Babs Raymond.
I need to give the numbers attending to the Old Rectory about a week beforehand, so please can you indicate whether you are coming and how many guests you will be bringing, by Sat 27th April. by email please directly to my moc.liamtoh|05nworbnerrad#sserdda liame
The meal is free for competition pilots and bonafide retrieve drivers. Guest will be charged £10.00 with under thirteen and under being charged £5.00
If there are any questions or problems, please do not hesitate to moc.liamtoh|05nworbnerrad#!em tcatnoc
Thank you
Darren.
